Una pequeña carta de amor︎ a esos jóvenes pertenecientes a la generación Z que destacan por sus colores pop y fuertes, cada uno superpuesto sobre un ︎dibujo oculto que añade un elemento intrigante. La negación del binarismo de género y la estética influenciada por la música electrónica caracterizan a estos personajes. In the "Electro Portraits" series, a mixed media approach is employed, combining sprays︎, acrylic markers, and oil. A series of love︎ portraits of young individuals from Generation Z stand out with vibrant and bold colors, each superimposed over a hidden drawing that adds an intriguing element. Markers, Oil on canvas El proyecto “Velatorio” ︎se lleva a cabo dentro del programa “Utopías Domésticas” en el espacio Casabanchel. Utilizando el Velatorio tradicional y doméstico como concepto expositivo; un lugar donde se exhibe un cuerpo y se permite un duelo, una reflexión︎. Los modos de representación que utilizan cada una de las piezas giran en torno a la danza. El movimiento representado en el medio más estático, la pintura︎. Junto con el bailarín y coreógrafo Javier Monzón y la bailarina Carlotta Gambatto, creamos una serie de piezas inspiradas en “La Danza de la Muerte” o “Danzas Macabras”. Un género artístico tardo-medieval donde la Muerte convocaba a figuras de diversas posiciones sociales para danzar alrededor de una tumba, recordando que los placeres terrenales tienen su fin.︎ La muerte que baila…&nbsp; es una ironía, una paradoja.︎ ¿Cómo siendo la danza una de las artes que más representan la vida, es justo el arte que elige a la muerte para representarse así misma a lo largo de nuestra cultura lírica y audiovisual? ¿Y cómo la muerte utiliza la danza para atraer a los vivos?, que se conforman como un sujeto pasivo; arrastrado, llevado, ︎ descendido. Son algunas de las cuestiones que se lanzan en esta propuesta.The "Velatorio" project is carried out within the "Utopías Domésticas"&nbsp;︎ program at the Casabanchel space. Using the traditional and domestic wake as an exhibition concept; a place where a body is exhibited and mourning, reflection is allowed.︎ The modes of representation used by each of the pieces revolve around dance. ︎Movement represented in the most static medium, painting. Along with the dancer and choreographer Javier Monzón and the dancer Carlotta Gambatto, we created a series of pieces inspired by ︎"The Dance of Death" or "Dances Macabras." A late-medieval artistic genre where Death summoned figures from various social positions to dance around a tomb, reminding that earthly pleasures come to an end.︎ The dancing death... it's an irony, a paradox. How is it that dance, being one of the arts that most represents life, is precisely the art that chooses death to represent itself&nbsp;︎ throughout our lyrical and audiovisual culture? And how does death use dance to attract the living?, who become a passive subject; dragged, taken, descended. Sólo cuando un conjunto de personas de una sociedad cree en algo superior se produce la creación de un ser encumbrado︎. Un ser en lo alto que escapa a nuestro juicio y a nuestro alcance, un ser mitológico que nos alecciona. En este trabajo se intenta mostrar la mano︎ que está detrás de la marioneta, enseñar quién mueve los hilos. Es el pueblo el que crea a los dioses, el que los encumbra y luego los mata. Son las mujeres y los hombres de un pueblo los que encarnan a través de sus ritos y tradiciones las acciones de los dioses. Somos nosotres como sociedad los que podemos hacer que Dios cante, baile, toque la pandereta o se muera︎. Mythology is always popular. Only when a group of people in a society believes in something superior does the creation of an elevated being occur. A being ︎ high above that escapes our judgment and reach, a mythological being that instructs us. In this work, an attempt is made to show the hand︎ behind the puppet, to reveal who pulls the strings. It is the people who create the gods, who elevate them and then bring them down︎. It is the women and men of a community who embody, through their rituals and traditions, the actions of the gods. Desconocida, porque el pensamiento colectivo cuando piensa en Mitología Castellana, piensa en Santos, en Iglesias Románicas, en la Semana Santa… El cristianismo ha eclipsado cualquier ápice de cultura pagana rica y diversa que imperaba en nuestra tierra. Estas pequeñas piezas son un homenaje a esos personajes mitológicos tan propios de Castilla que escapan de la hoguera inquisitorial del catolicismo. “El Bú, El hombre del saco y El Tragaldabas” The Castilian mythology is vast and largely unknown. It is unknown because when collective thought turns to Castilian mythology, it often conjures images of saints, Romanesque churches, and Holy Week. Christianity has overshadowed any trace of the once-rich and diverse pagan culture that prevailed in our land. It’s a metaphorically woven speech that uses colloquial language and an experimental artistic iconography. It’s a story about some of the aspects that have been snatched away by a rigid and unrealistic identity model. ABSOLUTION takes a step to a new masculine identity.
